Val and I spent last week getting out of town for a short vacation. The first stint of the trip was a couple of relaxing days on the MN North Shore, with Duluth being our normal homebase. The shipping season is in full swing, and plenty of ships were coming and going regularly. One of those ships was the Michipicoten, slated to enter port around 5am one morning.
I decided to strap the anti-collision beacon onto a drone and see if I could get a different perspective of a ship entering Duluth Harbor. Below was the result.
