Around my birthday earlier this year, Val registered me for an astrophotography workshop to be held on the North Shore of MN. The workshop took place earlier this month. I had a very good time hanging out with other photographers and learning some new techniques. I am not new to astrophotography, it is something I dabble in a few times a year, but was able to take away quite a bit of new knowledge, especially around the editing and processing side.

One of the evenings we went north of Grand Marais, MN and took a short walk to the shore to photograph the tombolo. It was the second perfectly clear and still night, providing a nice opportunity to capture the milky way.

Exposure was 20 seconds, f/1.4, ISO4000.
